Research Abstract |
The linkage and interactions between strategy and organization are too often ignored, and consequently remain poorly understood. We need to think and integrate our understanding of strategic organization with serious consideration of strategy and organization, and our understanding of strategic organization with detailed attention to corporate social responsibility. Leading the logic for integration of strategy and organization through considering corporate social responsibility in strategic organization is an explicit goal of this research. Some patterns of strategic organizational behavior have been found through three years researches which have reviewed basic papers about strategic organizations and focused on Japanese and foreign companies. Corporate social responsibilities in strategic behavior were analyzed and practical implications for building the strategic organization were provided. And some issues for further research were indicated. From the theoretical point of view, there seems to be some conditions necessary for a strategic organization should be. There is an originality of this research which is time oriented. Considering time dimension, effective strategic organization which should be depends on time. Environmental uncertainty which is increasing forces organizational change. There are some differences between considering and not-considering about time dimension. Even if corporate social responsibility is included in strategic organization with competitive advantage, the theoretical model with no time dimension is not necessary. We made clear of the relationship between Strategic organization and critical issues about corporate social responsibilities.
