1) We investigated the needs of the training for case management by the participants of traditional training program. Their needs were practical interview. skills to get proper information from the clients, skills to assess many kinds of information comprehensively, and the skills to plan effective goal. 2) We visited Cambridge in England, Melbourne and Sydney in Australia to study mental health system. We had information of care management practice and training from Care Program Approach (CPA), Community Based Outreach (CBO) team, Crisis Assessment Treatment Team (CATT), and Early Intervention (EI) team. 3) We planed and administrated structured training program for the providers of mental health service with Mental Health Centre, Tottori Welfare Enterprise, and Tottori Social Welfare Consultation Office. The training program contained roll playing sessions to develop interview skills, lectures of basic knowledge about care management concept, and case conference. The participants evaluated this training as effective to get practical skills to assess hole information around the clients and easy to apply to usual practice. 4) We managed case conferences in Yonago city for the education of providers. There were approximately fifteen participants in each meeting. The conferences were well structured to obtain practical result regardless of the conductor's nature. 5) These structured educational programs to get practical skills of case management will be used for the education of providers in Tottori.
