Research Abstract |
The purposes of this study wore to examine・the effect of social support as inpatients' external resource and f elf-efficacy on healtyh behavior as-their internal resource on inpatients' recovery process. We hypothesized that the stronger one percieves his/her social support and self-efficacy, the more promote their recovery, prcesses. In our Study, relationships among social support, self-efficacy on healtyh behavior and inpatients' behavior for recovery was investigated. Subjects were 137 inpatients. They were requested to complete the social support scale, self-efficacy scale, and 5 items relating recovery behaviors in a hospital. Reliabilities of each scale using Cronbach's alpha coefficient were high respectively. We found the positive correlation between the scores of the social support scale, self-efficacy scale and recovery be haviors. Our results suggest that social-support and self-efficacy promote inpatients' recovery process.
