Research Abstract |
In 2005, we did a pilot survey to understand the present situation about the education of psychological statistics for the humanities course students. To be concrete, we asked 15 teachers who had experiences about teaching psychological statistics. The contents of questionnaire were as follows : the difficulty with teaching, the ideas of teaching methods. In 2006, we conducted the nationwide investigations. We got the answers from 58 teachers and 872 students. The difference between teachers' thought and students' thought was clarified. We have developed and written the text book for psychological statistics. "R" is a free software. It can conduct many statistical analyses. We developed the introductory textbook to understanding statistics using R. And finally, we also made the item database for introductory psychological statistics.
