Research Abstract |
In this research, we call "group" a special area where electric power and heat energy are traded freely. A group can be composed of ordinary households without energy production capabilities, factories, with medium- and large-scale power and heat generation facilities, independent power providers, etc. Each emitting entity is given a power and heat generation limit and CO2 emission restrictions, and the basic unit of the CO2 emissions is explicitly considered during the purchase and sale of energy. All agents, while responding immediately to their respective power (heat) demands and in order to achieve the best economic performance, must deal with constantly changing spot prices of power (heat), and cooperatively determine its excess in amount and price to be sold or bought. ms encountered in the optimality of the solution provided by the auction method, a method based on Market Oriented Programming (MOP) was proposed. The problems where the application of MOP is feasible were determined, and an improved algorithm and agent strategy were proposed. In addition, an adjustment in the basic unit of the CO2 emission mechanism was proposed. Through this adjustment it was possible to obtain the near optimal solution of the whole group. Furthermore, the algorithm was improved to be able to cope with the case of plural consumers, and the convergence property. The effectiveness of the proposed technique was confirmed by means of computational experiments. It was shown that cost (= energy consumption) reduction of the whole group was possible by trading energy within the group. In addition, it was shown that such reduction can be achieved by a multi-agent system. The group mentioned in this research implies a collection of autonomous agents ; the application of a centralized technique is not suitable. From a practical point of view we believe it is important to show that the results obtained were achieved by a multi-agent system. Less
