Research Abstract |
Generally, the lining arch structure of the mountain tunnel is constructed by plain concrete. So, the cracks on the lining concrete have occurred by various causes. Therefore, not only widths and lengths, density of the cracks but also the total evaluation by directivity and genesis region place of the crack of individual crack on the lining are important for the health monitoring of the lining concrete. And, a categorized evaluation method has been adopted at each various organization. However, the index which can more objectively and quantitatively evaluation method is desired to propose the reasonable asset management system of tunnel infrastructure. In this study, the applicability of the new index called as the Tunnel Crack Index (TCI) for health monitoring of the lining concrete which the author has proposed is examined against the real tunnel crack investigation. In addition, the tunnel assent management system based on TCI has developed. This system consists of the data base system and the geographic information system. The scanning of paper based tunnel data book of 113 tunnels which controlled Yamaguchi Prefecture was done and it converted the digital information data. Then, tunnel information such as (tunnel name, tunnel position, overall length, class, dimension, etc ) described in the tunnel data book was stored into the tunnel data base. Then, the geographic information system which displayed information of the tunnel data book and the tunnel health situation by using the TCI distribution was made. Using this GIS tunnel database system, the asset management system for tunnel was examined for minimizing life cycle cost of the tunnel.
