Research Abstract

高温超伝導体La_<2-x>Sr_xCuO_4(LSCO)の角度分解光電子分光(ARPES)を行い、フェルミ面上のエネルギーギャップの方向依存性、温度依存性を調べた。x=0.15の試料では、ノード方向付近では、d波に一致するギャップの方向依存性が観測されたが、(π,0)付近ではギャップの大きさがd波の依存性よりも増大し、2種類のギャップが存在する可能性が示唆された。ギャップの温度依存性からは、(π,0)付近のギャップは超伝導転移温度Tc(=40K)より、はるかに高い150K付近で閉じることが分かった。この擬ギャップ温度T*〜150Kは、の高い最適ドープ領域のBi2212などとほぼ同じ値であり、最適ドープ領域であれば物質によらず、ほぼ同じ擬ギャップ温度を持つことが分かった。これは、超伝導転移温度と擬ギャップ温度には相関がないことを意味し、擬ギャップの起源が超伝導ギャップと異なるものである可能性が示唆される。
電子ドープ系高温超伝導体においてas grownの試料では超伝導が発現せず、アニールによって超伝導が出現する。Nd_<2-x>Ce_xCuO_4のARPESを行い、アニール前後の電子状態の違いを調べた。超伝導を示さないアニール前試料は、(π,0)付近はギャップがなく、ノード方向にギャップが開いていた。一方、超伝導を示すアニール後の試料ではノード方向のギャップが閉じることが分かった。このことは、スペクトル強度がノード方向でフェルミ準位上に出現することが、超伝導の出現に必要であることを意味している。
