| Research Abstract |
本研究は、日本とアメリカ、カナダ、の試験流域の科学者と共同研究した。融雪流出の特質を理解するために、融雪モデルを開発して、日本海側とアメリカ西部とカナダ西部の四つ((1)〜(4))の試験流域を比較した。(1)日本海沿岸部に位置する滝矢川試験流域(A=19.45km^2)(2)アメリカ合衆国コロラド州East St.LouisCreek試験流域(A=8.03km^2)(3)アメリカ合衆国アイダホ州Reynolds Creek試験流域(A=239km^2)(4)カナダRedfish Creek試験流域(25.8km^2)。
現在の結果について:
1.アメリカ合衆国コロラド州の科学者と共同で、新しい冬季降水量計を開発して、滝矢川試験流域の2箇所に(標高:70m、140m)設置をした(2005年10月)。冬季の降水量を見事に量っている(2006/11/29-2007/3/15:それぞれ1076mm及び1142mm。近くのアメダスデータ(標高:50m)は、1113mmであった。
2.滝矢川試験流域で、水文学の観測を続けている。2006/2007年の冬は暖冬であった(3月上旬に、標高140mで114mmのSWE、2005/2006年のは、651mm)。
3.様々な試験流域からのデータのアセンブリは完了して、融雪モデルの適用は現在進行たである。
4.IUGGの学会で(ペルージア、イタリア、2007/07/9-13)ポスター提示をする予定:(a)"Dynamics and mass balance of a seasonal snow pack in the winter monsoon climate of Niigata, Japan" by Whitaker and Sugiyama (b) "The role of snow cover conditions in the hydrological regime of a mountain area" by Sueivama. Whitaker. and Havakawa.
5.2007年4月、国際ジャーナルに論文が掲載される予定(改訂中):"Effect of snow cover conditionsl on the hydrological regime : case study of an experimental watershed located in the winter monsoon zone, Japan" by Sugiyama, Whitaker and Hayakawa. Journal of the American Water Resources Association.
