Outline of Annual Research Achievements

モンテカルロ法により大量の「連星系」を生成しその進化を追うというBinary population synthesis (BPS)を様々な系に適用した。連星進化・物理過程の取り扱いについては、系の性質によらない統一的な枠組み・定式化を用いる。様々な系を包括的に取り扱うこで、各物理過程の定式化を確立するとともに、連星系形成過程の統一的理解を目指すこのが目的である。この際、これまでBPSの枠組みで考慮されていない素過程である磁場・回転の効果を組み込んだモデルを構築する。これを以下のような連星系形成に応用し、その形成・進化過程を明らかにする。(1)重力波の起源天体であるブラックホール・中性子星を含む連星系、(2)白色矮星を含む連星系形成と進化、Ia型超新星の起源、(3)大質量連星進化と重力崩壊型超新星の多様性の起源の解明。
2019年度に発表した連星系における恒星・コンパクト天体の自転および磁場の進化の効果のモデル化のための定式化を受け、2020年度にはこれをミリ秒パルサーの形成シナリオに適用した。また、この効果をBPSに取り入れ、Ia型超新星頻度へ与える影響、磁場強度の違いにより様々なサブクラスへと進化する可能性を議論した。これらの成果は二編の査読論文として、The Astrophysical Journal誌に発表された。
以上の課題の推進のため、成果発表のための海外旅費、論文一編の投稿料を本財源から使用した。研究遂行のためのPC周辺機器(SSDほか)も購入した。
