| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In 1710 Hoki・Mimasaka Earthquake and 1804 Kisakata Earthquake , We were clarified house collapse ratio and number of deaths. In 1828 Sanjo Earthquake , We were clarified maximum death toll per house is 0.28. The house collapse rate is derived by dividing the total number of destroyed houses by the total number of houses.
We have made out the historical earthquake records "Rekishigakuniyoru Zenkindai Zishinshiryohshu 2 "

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
従来、家屋倒壊率は、（全潰戸数）＋0.5×（半潰戸数）を全戸数で除したものをパーセントで示したもの、という計算式で行われていたが、半潰戸数を全壊戸数の50パーセントとする根拠はなく、家屋倒壊率は、全潰戸数を全戸数で除したものをパーセントで示したものとすべきだということを明らかにしたことは、従来の前近代の震度の再検討をせまるもので、今後の地震防災に貢献するものとなった。また、活断層附近の一軒あたり最大死亡者数（0.28人）を明らかにした点も、今後の地震防災に貢献するものとなっている。
