Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
The research was smoothly carried out in the last year. We have made important achievements in the research project as following: 1. We have proposed a new method for drilling sub 10 nm pore in a suspended monolayer graphene for detecting single DNA molecule. 2. We have successfully fabricated a MEMS sensor device with nano-channel. This new liquid testing device is much simpler than the normal micro/nano channel devices and the depth of the nano-channel can be precisely controlled. A single molecule can be guided along the nano-channel to pass through the nanopore in graphene, realizing DNA sequencing.
