Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
Progress towards Universal health coverage (UHC) is not comprehensively assessed in low- and lower-middle income countries (LMICs) yet. The present study estimated recent trends in UHC health service indicators and quantified the probability of achieving UHC target by 2030 for LMICs of Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA). Additionally, this study evaluated the impact of increasing investment in health and health workforce on maternal health services and identified the potential determinants of access to maternal health services.
The data analysis of the project is complete. One manuscript has been prepared and another manuscript is currently being prepared. The findings were presented in the Conference of Japan Epidemiological Association in Kyoto (February 2020).
