Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
There are a lot of complex and emerging public health issues that is causing double burden (both health impact and economic impact) especially in underdeveloped or developing countries. It is difficult for a single organization to manage the social and public health issues. If we consider the issue of food safety, it is a major emerging concerns which needs collaborative and proper management approach. This study specifically focused on street food safety problem in Bangladesh where different stakeholder collaboration is indispensable. The study findings describes that, multi-stakeholder partnership not only in the macro level, but also community or micro level is important. Moreover, community needs proper health knowledge to actively participate in reducing the food safety issues. Therefore, proper knowledge sharing is also one of the key requirements to achieve the sustainable result. The major findings of this study shows that community participation as one of the major stakeholders can improve the current intervention system and it is also important to focus not only in organizational knowledge management to fulfill a target but also incorporate community knowledge in the knowledge management stream.
