Outline of Annual Research Achievements

2019年度は、「多波長同時観測と数値シミュレーションによる降着円盤の物理現象の研究」という枠組みの中で、主に矮新星アウトバーストの数値計算コードの開発と、その数値計算コードを用いた傾いた円盤を持つ矮新星の数値シミュレーションを行い、IW And型矮新星の光度変動の基本的な特徴を再現することに成功した。研究成果をまとめた論文は査読付き国際誌であるPASJ誌で受理された。また、イタリアで開催された国際学会「The Golden Age of Cataclysmic Variables and Related Objects - V」において、この研究内容を口頭で発表した。さらに、この論文で提唱した理論モデルの検証を行うため、代表的なIW And型矮新星のKepler dataの解析も始めた。現在論文にまとめている最中である。また、これまで行ってきた連星系の降着円盤の物理現象の研究を活動銀河核の円盤の研究に応用することも視野に入れていたため、カリフォルニア工科大学に2ヶ月半ほど渡航し、可視光観測データの時系列解析を行っているMatthew Graham氏の下、Zwicky Transient Facilityで取得された大量の活動銀河核の時系列データの統計的解析に挑戦した。今後、矮新星の多波長同時観測に挑戦するため、X線望遠鏡NICERを用いた観測提案書を提出し、受理された。2019年度に本格始動したせいめい望遠鏡や京都大学が主導する世界中のプロ・アマ天文家が参加する可視光観測ネットワークVSNETと合わせて2020年度に観測を実施する予定である。11月後半から1月半ばまではこれまでの研究成果を学位論文にまとめ、2020年3月に博士号(理学)を取得した。その後は2018年度に取得した矮新星の多波長時系列データの解析を再スタートし、現在論文にまとめている。
