Outline of Final Research Achievements

This pilot study aimed to determine whether the data collected from electrocardiograms (ECGs) during medical examinations could be incorporated into a card-type recording tool and distributed to patients for the early diagnosis of preventable diseases. We prospectively enrolled 205 participants who had undergone multiphasic health screenings, registered the data obtained from ECGs on a card-type recording tool, and distributed the tool to each participant. The participants were asked to present the tool when visiting a medical facility to confirm whether this data could contribute to a diagnosis.
Forty participants had unscheduled visits at medical facilities. Fourteen of these participants presented their ECG cards at medical facilities, where the ECG cards of four participants were referred to. Among these four participants, the diagnoses of cerebral infarction with atrial fibrillation, hypertension, and nephrosclerosis were made.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
