Outline of Final Research Achievements

This research focuses on international migration of people, especially study abroad, in Southeast Asia and the Middle East, two major regions in the Islamic world, and reveals the social transformations resulting from this migration qualitatively, quantitatively, and comprehensively through field research and big data collection and analysis. In particular, taking Indonesia, a major power in Southeast Asia, and Egypt, a major power in the Middle East, as case studies, the study highlights international students' social networks as connections structured through direct and indirect reciprocal negotiations, and reveals the reality and transformation of international students' social networks.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
