| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The purpose of this study is to clarify how learners of Japanese acquire skills for writing papers in Japanese through peer response. We recorded and analyzed our practice of classes given to 16 international students who had never written full-scale papers in Japanese. This study is innovative in its four viewpoints: composition, discussion, teacher’s corrections and comments, and interviews. As a part of open science, the research outcome " Classroom Discourse Database of University Classes for International Students’ Peer Response " is available on the website of National Institute for Japanese Language and Linguistics.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
日本語学習者のレポートや論文の書き方の指導に、ピア・レスポンスは有力な方法であるが、その指導法の確立に必要なピア・レスポンスの談話研究が不足している。本研究では、全15回の授業記録を、談話を中心に分析するとともに、そのデータをウェブ上に公開した。これにより、学習者がどのように研究の分析方法を日本語で表現する技術を身につけていくのか、そのプロセスを明らかにするデータが共有でき、今後のピア・レスポンス研究の進展に寄与しうる。また、本研究の成果をまとめた論文集は、日本語教師がアカデミック・ライティングをどのように支援すべきか、ファシリテーターとしての指導法を確立する一助となることが期待される。
