Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The purpose of this study was to investigate how short-term overseas experiences during adolescence impact the development of a global mindset. Through several investigations, we found that (1) even short-term overseas programs, rather than long-term study abroad, have some effect on cultivating a global mindset, and (2) contrary to common prerequisites mentioned in global leadership studies such as language proficiency and past experience living abroad, engaging in communication with local people contributes to intercultural adaptation.
