| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this study, I confirmed women who entered the Imperial Universities graduate school between 1918 and 1945.In addition, I analyzed the careers of female researchers at 12 graduate schools of Women's Universities, which were newly established in the 1950s and 1960s. Among them, I confirmed that there were some women who had entered the graduate school under the old educational system. I considered the significance of the former graduate school in the career paths of female researchers.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
近現代日本高等教育史研究就中大学史研究において、大学を論ずる上で大学院制度は重要事項である。本研究では、旧制大学院制度がどのように運用され、どのような機能を果たしたのかを、女性のキャリアパスに着目して解明するものであり、従来の大学史研究上に欠如した学術的な意義を有している。女子高等教育史研究上においても、本研究で、新制女子大学の「大学院」を新たに課題設定し、新制女子大学の大学院設置の背景・過程に、旧制から新制への人的連続性と女性のキャリアパスが重層的に作用していることを示唆し、新たな視点を寄与し得たと考える。
