| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In order to explore consumer needs in more detail from the data of "multiple consumers judging multiple products with multiple evaluation items," this research aims to develop clustering techniques with simultaneous mapping of consumer clusters, evaluation items, and evaluation targets on biplots and triplots. (1) to research and develop a three-phase principal component analysis method with clustering, (2) to research and develop a preference mapping method that can represent the characteristics of user clusters for each, and (3) to verify the applicability of each developed method in real-life situations by analyzing real data.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
プリファレンスマッピングはマーケティングにおける製品のポジショニングマップを構成する際に、対象としている消費者の選好の傾向をマップに反映することを可能にする技術である。本研究では、消費者が異なる潜在的なクラスタに属する場合でも、クラスタ同士がお互いの影響をうちけしあうことなく、クラスタを同定することで、クラスタに適したマップを与えるものである。得られる成果はマーケティングにおける小規模市場の探索に寄与するとともに，３相データ解析分野に存在する多様なクラスタリングをまとめ，体系化を行うという点で学術的にも価値のあるものである。
