Research Abstract

転写制御蛋白質HutPと標的RNA複合体のX線解析を行った。その結果、HutPは6量体を形成していること、HutPは6量体の両面で、RNAの2個所のUAG繰り返し配列と結合していた。生化学的実験においても、UAG繰り返し配列の重要性が明らかにされた。また、in vivo実験により、活性発現がHutPにより誘導された。以上より、HutPはUAG繰り返し配列と結合し、RNAをステム-ループから3角形様構造に変化させるすることによって、転写終結解除する機構を明らかにした。
