Research Abstract |
This study investigated an analytical procedure of seismic risk estimation for reinforced concrete structures and applicability of risk finance as alternative risk transfer. Then numerical simulations of the risk assessment for three types of RC piers were carried out. 1. Seismic risk analysis was conducted in order to quantitatively evaluate damage and loss of reinforced concrete structures under various levels of seismic actions. Part 1 : Structural performance of RC piers Evaluation was first of all calculated by the conventional ways. Part 2 : Seismic hazard curves and multi-events curves at a construction site are examined Part 3 : Assessment of vulnerability and damage for RC piers by means of newly proposed EFM-method were conducted. Part 4 : Finally analytical procedure of seismic risk assessment were established. Then, wizard type software FrameRisk was constructed. 2. Risk Finance Part 1 : Development Methodology of Discounted Seismic Risk Curve. The present value of reduction principal and interest depend on the time when earthquake hits. We proposed an evaluation method of discounted present value of a seismic risk curve in a contract period of investment. Part 2 : A Study of Financial Impact Analysis and Management Accounting for Alternative Risk Transfer The long-term financial strategy based on the financial impact analysis and the management accounting technique is needed to design ART. We investigated the financial impact analysis, and developed the prototype model of management accounting.
