Research Abstract

これまで魚類コラーゲンの架橋に関する研究は少なく、その架橋形成機構は不明である。リジルオキシダーゼ(LOX)およびその関連タンパク質[リジルオキシターゼ様タンパク質:LOX-like(LOXL)、LOXL2、LOXL3およびLOXL4]は、コラーゲンのリジンおよびヒドロキシリジン残基の酸化的脱アミノ反応を触媒することにより、コラーゲン分子間架橋形成の初発反応を担うと考えられている。本研究では、トラフグを用いて、9つのLOXファミリー分子が存在することおよびそれらの一次構造を明らかにするとともに、それらの発現・機能特性を解明した。
