Research Abstract

胚性多分化能細胞から中胚葉系列細胞への分化過程において細胞分化因子群であるTGF-βファミリーが果たす役割を明らかにすることを目的とした。胚性多分化能細胞ではTGF-βファミリーの受容体群および情報伝達分子群が発現しており、とくに、中胚葉系列細胞への分化には、Nodal/Cripto軸が重要な役割を果たしていることが分かった。また、従来の情報伝達モデルでは説明できないリガンド-受容体-情報伝達分子の組み合わせが存在することが分かった。
