Research Abstract |
(1) Purification of marine organisms and search of anti-cancer compounds from marine organisms. Purification, structure of active biological substances from marine organisms. Isolation of anti-neoplastic compounds from marine organisms and evaluation of their cytotoxity against oral squamous cell carcinoma cells. Marine organisms from Japanese adjacent Sea were collected and freeze-dried. They were homogenized in EtOH-MeOH(4:1). They were distributed by HPLC into hexane layer and C2H5OCH3CO layer and aqueous layer., proceedingly, were investigated their activity by bin assay and were purificated and decided their structure. Nobel agents were derived from active biological substances improving the structure of their branches (2) Analysis of antitumor activity on squamous cell carcinoma cells Active biological substances pulified from marine organisms were examined on the antitumor effect of human cancer cells with serum-free bio assay. Analysis of anti-angiogenetic effect of marine organisms. Analysis of the effect of tumor cell attachment, invasion and metastasis. Analysis of inhibition against Has farnesylation. (3) Analysis of the anti-tumor effect of marine organisms on inoculated human cancer cell Anti-tumor activity against human cancer cells (oral squamous cell carcinoma and A431) were investigated in vivo. OSCC cells were inoculated on Balb-c/nu/nu nude mices. Proceedingly, some compounds were injected with vehicle intraperitoneally. Anti-tumor effect of these compounds were consequently evaluated their tumor volume.
