Research Abstract

単層カーボンナノチューブは、その優れた電子物性と規則的な一次元ナノ構造から将来のナノエレクトロニクスへの応用が期待されている。本研究では、我々が見出したサファイア単結晶基板上での水平配向成長を発展させることを目的として、配向メカニズム、ナノチューブの構造への影響、そしてデバイスの作製と評価を中心に検討を行った。その結果、サファイアの結晶面に依存した直径・カイラリティ分布の変化、一方向への配向成長といった基礎的に重要な知見を得るとともに、デバイス応用への有用性を実験的に示すことができた。
