Research Abstract

真核細胞では、核と細胞質の間での物質のやりとりが不可欠であり、多様な核・細胞質間輸送システムによって真核細胞の生理機能が巧みに調節される機構を明らかにすることは、細胞生物学のひとつの重要課題である。本研究では、特に生理的に重要で一般的興味が高いexportinであるCRM1によって担われる核外輸送経路について、輸送の方向性の鍵を握る、細胞質における解体反応中間体の結晶構造を高分解能で解き、輸送基質とCRM1の結合・解離のアロステリック制御機構を提唱するに至った。
