Research Abstract

多波長における観測データを活用して銀河・銀河団の進化を明らかにするための研究を行い、以下の主要成果を得た。(1)銀河団高温ガスの非一様性を記述する理論モデルを構築し、銀河団を用いた宇宙論パラメータ測定の精度向上を実現した。(2)赤外線衛星Spitzerによる観測の結果、銀河団からの広がったダスト放射に対する従来で最も厳しい制限を得ることに成功し、50年以上に渡り続いてきた論争に一定の決着をつけた。(3)X線衛星Suzakuによる観測によって、温度3億度の宇宙で最も高温のガス塊の存在を確証した。(4)大型電波干渉計による銀河団観測の実現性を評価するためのシミュレーションコードを開発した。(5)数値シミュレーションによって、原始銀河内における星形成に対する輻射の影響を明らかにした。(6)すばる望遠鏡による可視光データと数値シミュレーションに基づいて、クエーサーによって周囲の銀河形成が直接阻害されていると考えられる領域の存在を明らかにした。
