| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this research project, information on land survey registers left behind in the Kanto region from Tensho18 (1590), when the Tokugawa Ieyasu entered the Kanto region, to the Keicho period (1596-1615), when the Edo shogunate was established, was collected, and catalogued in order to create a database.
This has enabled a complete picture to be obtained of the period of the implementation of land inspections in the Kanto region during the same period. In addition, by compiling a database of the description methods used in each land survey registers(presence/absence of marks or length, description of Kokudaka or Kandaka, etc.), it has become possible to understand the differences in commanders of each land survey and differences in its purpose.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
検地帳記載方法の詳細なデータベースを作成することにより、各検地帳が何時の段階にどの主体により検地が実施されたのかを把握することが可能となった。その結果、従来、その表紙に記載される文言等から、僞文書の可能性が指摘される検地帳について、内容的には同時期の検地帳である可能性が高いことを示すことができた。また、検地帳に記載される内容分析により、検地帳の各耕作地に記される人名である名請人について、検地時期・主体により差異があることを明らかにした。従来の検地研究では、検地帳名請人については、名請人自体の村落内での地位の影響が重視されていたが、それとは異なる新たな視点を示すことができた。
