Outline of Annual Research Achievements

2019年度は、前年度開発した任意の空間構造を持つ環境中に、任意に空間配置した発光体群の同期発光を計算出来る手法を用い、前年度に引き続きキラルな環境中に存在するキラル発光体にどのような多体相関が発生するかを理論的に調べた。金属構造をキラル空間構造に配置し、その中に発光体を同じくキラルな空間構造に配置すると、互いに平行なキラル配置の場合と反平行なキラル配置の場合で超蛍光の現れ方が大きく異なるが、今年度は試料の位置やサイズの揺らぎを統計的に取り扱い、このキラル選択性が試料揺らぎに対してロバストであり、十分に実験検証できるものであることを明らかにした。
さらに、金属ナノ構造近辺においてペロブスカイトナノ粒子が集合した場合にどのような超蛍光の増強が起こるかを多様な金属配置の場合に調べ、金属構造による超蛍光増強の実験検証のためのモデルの検討を行った。特に金属構造のサイズ・形状に対する増強効果の依存性を集中的に調べ、厚い金属基板が存在する場合に有意な効果が発現することなどを明らかにした。

1: Research has progressed more than it was originally planned.

Reason

2019年度、金属構造が存在する場合にペロブスカイトナノ粒子における超蛍光がどのように増強されるかを明らかにしつつあることは計画通りの進展である。今後、最適な金属構造やペロブスカイトナノ粒子の配置などが明らかになれば実験検証に進むことが可能となり、本研究の目標である超発光分子の実現へ近づく。一方、分子の配置がキラリティーを持つ場合に、金属構造のキラリティーと強い相関を持った超蛍光が現れることが明らかになったことは2018年度の計画を越えた成果であったが、2019年度はさらにこの現象が実験に耐え得るロバストネスを持つことが明らかになり、実験試料の設計へ進む道筋が見えてきたことや、さらにキラル選択性を持つ発光が偏光においても選択的に円偏光を示すことが明らかになったことも2019年度の計画を越えた成果であると言える。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

(1)理論的には2018, 2019年度に明らかになったキラル選択的超蛍光の発現について、さらにその放射パターンや蛍光の偏光特性を明らかにするとともに、(2)金属構造によるペロブスカイトナノ粒子の超蛍光増強の条件を明らかにし、その条件における実験を進めていく。
(1)においては、超蛍光計算における一つの二準位系を光子検出器として取り扱い、そのポピュレーションを計算することでキラル選択性を示す超蛍光の蛍光パターンと偏光特性を詳しく調べ、円二色発光が強く増強している可能性を明らかにする。
(2)においては理論的に明らかにした有意に超蛍光が生じる金属構造を作製し、熊本大のグループに作製を依頼したペロブスカイトナノ微粒子を配置することによりその蛍光特性を調べる。超蛍光特性が強く現れる条件を探索することによって、超発光分子設計への道筋を付ける。
