Outline of Annual Research Achievements

近年、2次元の場の量子論において、TTbar変形と呼ばれるirrelevantな変形が精力的に研究されている。このTTbar変形はTTbar演算子と呼ばれるエネルギー・運動量テンソルの行列式で定義される演算子によって引き起こされる。この演算子は複合演算子としてwell-definedであり、そのエネルギー固有状態での期待値は因子化と呼ばれる特別な性質を示すことが、2004年にAlexander Zamolodchikovによって示された。その後、2016年になって、このTTbar演算子によって引き起こされる理論空間におけるフローが盛んに研究されるようになった。irrelevantな変形にもかかわらず、制御が可能であり、古典的には質量ゼロの自由スカラー場のTTbar変形が弦の南部-後藤作用になることからも、量子重力理論への手がかりを与える重要な研究課題と考えられている。
春名、石井、川合、酒井との共同研究によって、2次元O(N)ベクトル模型を具体例にとり、この性質のよいTTbar変形においても、非ノルムを持った非物理的な状態が含まれることをラージN極限において示した。この結果は、量子論的に整合的な理論を得るためには、TTbar変形だけではダメで、さらに付加的なチューニングを要することを意味している。また、奥村氏との共同研究により、TTbar変形と2次元Liouville重力理論の関係を議論した。
別の研究課題として、坂本、福島と共同研究をおこない、4次元チャーン・サイモンズ理論と2次元の可積分な非線形シグマ模型およびそのヤン・バクスター変形の関係を議論した。特に、4次元のチャーン・サイモンズ理論から、AdS5xS5上の超弦理論のhomogeneousなヤン・バクスター変形を導出することができた。

Reason

年度当初から新型コロナウィルスの影響で、参加を予定していた研究会の中止、海外の共同研究者を訪問しての密な議論をできなかった、大学のゼミや演習のオンライン対応で時間が潰れた、など様々な理由により、例年よりも研究のアクティビティが落ちた。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

コロナ禍を1年乗り切り、オンラインでの研究会参加やZoomを用いた共同研究の議論など、新しい技術を習得したことで、研究のアクティビティも上がってきた。まだ当面、コロナ禍はおさまりそうにないが、オンラインを活用して対応していきたい。
