Outline of Annual Research Achievements

令和2年度は1)普通コンドライト中の高圧鉱物の系統的調査、2)リングウッダイトとメジャーライトの逆転移現象の解明、3)普通コンドライトの衝撃回収実験、4)ウラン・鉛放射年代測定に取り組んだ。
1)では、H,L,LL普通コンドライトの衝撃誘起脈の幅とその発達様式を系統的に調査し,脈の幅は岩石学タイプの増加と共に大きくなる傾向が見出された。脈の発達様式はプール状,直線状或いはネットワーク状に分類でき,発達様式は岩石学タイプに依存することが判明し,岩石構造の違いに起因すると考えられる。脈に存在する高圧鉱物を用いて衝撃圧を見積もると,LとLL普通コンドライトでは岩石学タイプの増加に伴い衝撃圧も大きくなっていた。脈の幅は衝撃圧の大きさに依存すると予想され,高圧鉱物から見積もられた衝撃圧の傾向とも一致する。 一方,H普通コンドライトは高圧鉱物や溶融脈に明確な傾向が見られず,LやLL普通コンドライト母天体とは異なる衝突史をもつと推定される。以上の内容を国際学術雑誌に投稿した。
2)では,リングウッダイトからオリビン,メジャーライトから輝石への逆転移メカニズムを国際学術雑誌に投稿した。リングウッダイトからオリビンへの逆転移実験結果の解析を引き続き行い、逆転移カイネティクスデータを取得した。
3)では,H3とL3普通コンドライトを用いた全ての衝撃回収実験を終えた。回収試料の観察を行い,10 GPa以上の衝撃圧で溶融が起きることが確認できた。回収試料中のコンドリュールのアスペクト比と長軸の方位を電子顕微鏡画像と画像解析ソフトで解析し,アスペクト比と長軸の配向性が衝撃圧の増加と共に増加することが判明した。
4)では,昨年に引き続き年代測定に必要なリン酸塩鉱物の記載を行った。

コロナ感染対策のためのまん防が長期間発令された影響により出張の中止・延期が多く発生した。今年度は前年度までに行った実験結果の取りまとめを中心に行い,一部の実験には遅延が生じている。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

リングウッダイトからオリビンへの逆転移実験試料のTEM観察を行う。シリカ高圧相の逆転移メカニズムの解明と繰り返し衝突現象の解明を試みる。年代測定に必要なリン酸塩鉱物の記載およびその測定を行う。リングウッダイトからオリビンへの逆転移カイネティクスを考慮した普通コンドライト母天体の破壊モデルの構築を行う。
