Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究の目的は、活断層における破砕帯のマクロ~ミクロの3次元の組織構造に最新活動年代の解析を加えて、時・空間的な4次元(4D)断層破砕帯の構造ならびに活動性を調べ、地震断層・活断層破砕帯の構造特性・運動像と最近活動性との関連性を解明することと、活断層破砕帯による断層活動性・地震ハザードの評価などに科学的な根拠を提供することである。今年度は、以下の調査研究を行った。
1)野島断層・有馬ー高槻構造線活断層系の活動性と断層破砕帯構造について、露頭スケールの調査とサンプルの採集を行って、薄片を作成をした。
2)熊本地震断層である布田川断層の地質構造を把握するため、微動アレー探査を行った。
3)ボーリングコアサンプルおよび露頭で採集した定方位断層岩を用いて、X線CTによる微細組織構造解析および、化学組成の分析を行った。
4)これまでに行った関連の研究成果をまとめて、計10編の論文を国際学術誌へ公表した。
5)断層ガウジの年代測定を行った。詳細は、解析中である。

Reason

計画どおり調査研究が進められており、予定どおりの研究成果が得られている。今年度で採集した断層岩サンプルを用いて予定通りの組織構造解析と分析作業を進めている。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

次年度、研究を推進するため、以下の作業を行う予定である。
1)露頭から採集した定方位サンプルの大型薄片作成を行う。
2)成した薄片を用いて、微細組織構造の観察、解析作業を継続する。
3)断層ガウジの微細組織構造解析、化学組成分析、微量元素分析のサンプル数を増やす。
4)これまでに行った研究の成果をまとめて、国内外の学会に発表するとともに、国際雑誌に投稿する準備をする。
