Outline of Annual Research Achievements

令和3年度においては、細孔径の異なる可視光応答型Ta3N5金属窒化物光触媒フォトニック結晶を作成し、水素生成における光触媒活性の違いを比較した。フォトニック結晶の細孔径は、そのテンプレートとして用いるPMMAコロイド粒子作成時の合成温度およびMMAモノマーと水の配合比を変化させることによりPMMAコロイド粒子径を制御を通じて行った。また、活性点として必要なPtはH2PtCl6水溶液にTa3N5光触媒を浸漬、担持し、キセノンランプ光を照射することにより活性を発現可能なPtに光還元する方法を見出した。
フォトニック結晶形成により発生するフォトニックバンドギャップとTa3N5が持つ固有の基礎吸収端の位置関係について、上記方法にてフォトニックバンドギャップを変化させた試料の光触媒活性の変化から考察した。これまでの報告では、フォトニックバンドギャップのエネルギーの小さい側のRED端に基礎吸収端を合わせる方が効率よくスローフォトン効果を得られると言われてきた(Nishijima et al., ACS 125 (2003) 6306)。しかしながら、我々の実験では、RED端よりもむしろフォトニックバンドギャップを挟んでエネルギーの大きい側のBLUE端に基礎吸収端を合わせた方が良いという結果が得られた。これは、RED端を一致させると、基礎吸収端よりわずかに大きいエネルギー領域がフォトニックバンドギャップに覆われてしまい、これにより光触媒活性に必要な電子の励起が行えなくなり光触媒活性を示さなくなるのことが現れたのではないかと考えている。

Reason

一昨年度末から始まった新型コロナ感染拡大の防止のため、本年度も大学での実験について時間的・空間的制約が必要とされたが、その対処法にも慣れてほぼ予定通り実験及びその纏め、論文執筆をこなすことができた。学会についても、オンラインではあるがコロナ以前とほぼ同数の学会が開催され、それに参加することが可能となった。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

この研究課題の最終年度として、酸窒化物光触媒フォトニック結晶、リチウムチタン酸窒化物負極材料、2波長発光酸窒化物蛍光体に関する論文執筆、学会発表を中心に遂行する。
