Outline of Final Research Achievements

We have been targeting the achievement of novel DNA amplification using a vibration mechanism. The specimen in a plastic tube was set at a temperature of 37℃ and vibrated at audible frequency; precise control of DNA denaturation and amplification is possible and DNA is expected to be amplified with little damage in it.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

振動によりDNAへの精密なエネルギー注入が可能であるため、DNA増幅を高速かつ37℃恒温下で実施可能な新技術を確立するための端緒となリ得るだろう。増幅進行温度は、37℃という生細胞が生存し得る温度での恒温条件で実施し、これにより、DNAや酵素の損傷を防ぐことが可能となり、さらに、増幅完了までに要する時間が大幅に短縮することが期待できる。
