Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究では、年間10000 ㎡の乾板の供給・解析体制の確立を目指している。軸となる装置は、研究室既設置の原子核乳剤製造装置1号機の30倍の能力を持つ乳剤製造装置、大面積の塗布を効率良く行う自動塗布装置(以下RtR(Roll to Roll))と現在運用中の原子核乾板読取装置の約20倍の読取能力を持つ読取装置(以下HTS(Hyper Track Selector)Ⅲ)の開発・設置である。また並行して原子核乾板本体の高機能化を図っている。
2019年度の進展を以下に記す。
30倍製造装置に関しては、名大東山キャンパスの理学館地階にスペースを確保し、乳剤製造・脱塩・後熟の各装置の構築・設置を行い、試運転を行った。また試作した乳剤が実用に十分な性能を持つことを確認した。RtR塗布装置に関しては、同キャンパスの第三実験棟にスペースを確保し、装置の設置、試験運転を開始した。並行して目標の乾燥膜厚70ミクロンの乳剤を塗布するための条件出しと乾燥装置系の設計を詰めた。 HTSⅢに関しては、1本の超広視野主光学系+ドラム回転ステージをベースにしたA案と、複数本の小型並列光学系+通常ステージのB案の検討を行い、最終的にB案を採用することを決定した。また要求される最大の画像転送能力(20GB/s)実現に向けた試験を開始した。原子核乾板の高機能化に関しては、1)感度の温度制御の研究中に、超微粒子の原子核乾板の発光を発見し、その特性を明らかにし、メカニズムを追求した。2)また乳剤のBG事象について位相差顕微鏡とFocused Ion beam SEMを用いて、その正体解明に一部成功した。3)また長期特性の改善を行った。

Reason

2019年度は、予定していた30倍乳剤製造装置の立ち上げ・試運転、RtR装置の立ち上げを完遂し、2020年度後半からの運用に向けて好発進できた。またHTSⅢの設計を詰めて、2020年度から開始するハードウェア構築の準備ができた。さらに原子核乾板の発光現象の発見とその究明など予想していなかった進展もあり、またBG事象の一部解明にも成功し、原子核乾板のもつ可能性を確認できたことは今後につながる進展であった。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

2020年度は、構築した30倍製造装置の試験を進め、後半から運用を開始する。RtR装置に関しては、引き続き塗布・乾燥試験を推進しシステムの完成度を上げ、これも年度後半から運用を開始する。HTSⅢに関しては、いよいよ今年度よりステージ系、光学系、画像転送系の構築を開始する。原子核乳剤の高機能化に関しては、引き続き感度のスローコントロールを軸に研究を進める。
