Outline of Final Research Achievements

We operate the Tomo-e Gozen camera on the Kiso Schmidt telescope, and observed many SNe including a SNIa with early luminosity enhancement. We develop a three-band optical imager TriCCS for the Seimei telescope, and have observed SNe. TriCCS is also used for open use programs. NIR spectrograph NICE for the TAO telescope is updated for the use of very high altitude. We showed that observational properties of a luminous SNIa with early luminosity enhancement can be explained well by Carbon rich outer layers. We also showed that incomplete explosion of a white dwarf can explain many properties of a subluminous SNIa. We also worked for diversity of SNeIa and for other transients.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

日本で一番視野の広いトモエゴゼンカメラの本格運用に貢献した。また国内最大口径望遠鏡に初めて撮像装置を開発した。また世界最高地点の望遠鏡に観測装置を準備した。これらは超新星をはじめとする突発天体研究あるいはその他の天体の研究に大いに貢献できる成果である。またIa型超新星は宇宙膨張測定に重要な標準光源であるだけでなく宇宙の鉄の主要な起源であるが、その起源が解明されていなかった。本研究によってその多様性について理解が進んだ。日常生活でも大変重要な鉄の起源について進展があった。
