Outline of Annual Research Achievements

注意の律動やその移動(追跡)にもとづく多様な情報統合が知覚意識の成立をどのように支えているか検討してきた.シドニー大学との共同研究では,過渡刺激により位置知覚が正しく更新される現象の報告と注意実験の結果をまとめた原著論文が国際誌に公刊された(Nakayama & Holcombe, 2020 Journal of Vision).一方,運動物体の消失位置が動的ノイズから成る背景上において外挿して知覚される現象を前年度に報告した.その後の心理物理学実験の結果から,注意による運動物体の追跡は,動的背景により物体の消失が目立たないとき,消失後も数十ミリ秒間継続し,その間注意が向けられた位置において運動物体の知覚が生じるという「注意トラッキングの慣性説」を提唱した.この仮説が正しいとすると,ボトムアップの感覚処理ではなく,主にトップダウンの予測処理に依存して知覚意識を生成するメカニズムが存在することを意味している.これらの結果と考察をまとめ,国際視覚学会や関西若手実験心理学研究会でオンライン発表し,報告者を筆頭著者とする原著論文として国際誌に投稿,同時に前刷りを公開した(Nakayama & Holcombe, 2020 bioRxiv).また,上記2件の成果を合わせて日本基礎心理学会オンライン若手セッションで発表した.運動外挿現象に関する脳磁気刺激(cTBS)実験では,被験者ごとにMRIで位置決めした頭頂・後頭のROIに磁気刺激を与え,外挿量の変化を調べた.しかし,いずれのROIでも磁気刺激の効果が弱いことから,刺激方法の最適化を検討している.さらに,運動物体知覚の離散化現象(Nakayama et al., 2018)を利用し,シータ帯域における律動様の知覚の神経相関を探り,興味深い結果を得つつある.
