Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本年度では化工産業によく使われた窒素含有の分解し難い有機物の一つ、ジメチルホルムアミドと(通称DMF)というものメタン発酵処理に関わる研究を引き続き行った。6ヶ月以上の長期連続運転を考察し、UASB とOCARの互いに協力することを探究した。有機汚染物を分解するため前段としてUASBの有機物除去及びメタン生成量を考察し、アンモニアを減量化するため後段としてOCARの脱窒性能も検討した。実際の最適運転条件及びエネルギー再生能力を求め、全システムの実用性と安定性が確認できた。
昨年の研究実績は嫌気性汚泥と好気性活性汚泥を混ぜた混合汚泥を種汚泥として高濃度のDMFや毒性に順応し、メタン発酵能力すぐ得られた。DMF加水分解細菌とメタン生成古細菌の共生系の形成はDMFメタン発酵処理の鍵と考えました。その加水分解細菌は、好気性条件で指数的に増加し、嫌気性条件で生きることもできます。
その研究を引き続き、以下の研究を行った。遺伝子の分析結果によると、DMF加水分解菌にも脱窒機能があることがわかった。この結果に基づいて、DMFと脱窒との共同処理を行った。DMF加水分解細菌の存在量はDMFの嫌気性分解能力を制約した。DMF加水分解細菌の割合は微生物群種内で十分存在した条件では、DMFのメタン発酵分解が順調であった。
しかし、DMF加水分解細菌は通性脱窒細菌であり、本研究の嫌気性MBRには硝酸塩が供給されなかったので、増殖できず、むしろ自己分解による死滅が徐々に進行したと考えられた。
本研究に見られたDMF加水分解細菌は脱窒細菌であった。少量の硝酸塩を投入することによってDMF加水分解細菌の嫌気性増殖を促進することで、DMFに対する加水分解能力を強化できること考えられた。
