Outline of Annual Research Achievements

今年度はカーボンナノチューブをペロブスカイト太陽電池の透明電極として応用する際に問題となる導電性やエネルギーレベルを改善できる方法について研究を行った。シングルジャンクションの太陽電池は近年その変換効率が理論効率に近づいており、更なる太陽電池の高効率化のためにはタンデム化が期待されている。ペロブスカイトとシリコン太陽電池のタンデム化を実現するためには対向透明電極の物性は極めて重要である。その条件としては1.ペロブスカイト太陽電池から透過された光がシリコン太陽電池へ効率よく届くためには透明電極のシリコン太陽電池の発電波長帯域での光学的に透明である必要があること、2.優れた電気伝導度を持つことでペロブスカイト太陽電池の変換効率を最大化すること、3.対向電極としての適切な仕事関数を持つことでペロブスカイト発電層からの電圧ロスを最小限にすること、が挙げられる。カーボンナノチューブを透明対向電極に利用する際には1の要件は満たしているものの2,3が主に課題となっている。これらの問題を解決するためにはドーピングという手法が主に行われているが既存の高いドーパントの反応性によるデバイスの劣化やドーパンとの光学的な干渉が問題となっていた。今回、バンドギャップが比較的に大きくて透明な金属酸化物である酸化モリブデンをカーボンナノチューブのドーパントとして利用することで対向透明電極をカーボンナノチューブとするペロブスカイト太陽電池を作成し、ペロブスカイト・シリコンタンデム太陽電池を想定した場合の変換効率は25.9%となった。
