| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this experimental study, we utilized Musio, an English-speaking robot developed by AKA, Inc., to conduct a comprehensive, chronological evaluation of English speaking skills and propose an efficient method for leveraging the assessment results. The COVID-19 pandemic significantly hindered the recruitment process for experimental participants. Despite the limited sample size, we analyzed the available data to explore Musio's potential in English education and the development of a novel speaking assessment method. Additionally, we investigated the utility and effectiveness of other AI-driven chatbots and examined the advancements in Text-to-Speech (TTS) technology, which these chatbots employ.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
英語スピーキングの測定・評価にAIの力を借りるということで、学習者の文法力、流暢さ、語彙力等を多面的にかつ客観的に、そして長いスパンで安定的に評価することが可能になる。新型コロナ感染症拡大により、本プロジェクトでは十分な研究成果が得られなかったが、本研究が目的としたAIを活用した英語のパフォーマンス評価研究は今後ますます必要となり、また測定・評価の手法はさらに成熟していくと考えられる。ChatGPTなどを利用した対話ボットの開発が進む今日の状況を考えると、本研究が目指した研究の方向性は間違っていなかったと考えられる。
