I have researched on the sociological studies about influences of the development of the Internet on the character of political discussions.
Then I have studied mainly the Netzwerkdurchsetzungsgesetz (NetzDG) of Germany. It requires the big social media to delete certain illegal contents quickly, but its main purpose is to demand that they build a due system to examine the legality of contents and publish the real situation of the examination. This law admits that on the Internet the privatization of the enforcement of law is somewhat inevitable, therefore it asks the social media to heighten their transparency. Also in Japan, we might ask them by law to build a organization to examine the legality of contents and publish how it functions.
