Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this research project, we focus on the diffusion phenomenon on the ubiquitous network in society and nature. We formulated the basic reproduction number and its extension, the type-reproduction number, for the epidemic model that has become particularly well known because of covid-19. The results are more accurate than previously known formulas. We have also successfully formulated the formulas taking into account the degree correlation, which means the correlation between the links in the real network. We have also applied these researches to a more realistic model for sexually transmitted diseases.

興感染症の出現によって複雑ネットワーク上の感染症モデルの解析は,今日もっとも注目を浴びている分野の一つとなっている.本研究課題はその基盤となる知見を提供している.基本再生産数は感染症等が拡散する強さを測る重要な指標であるが,この基本再生産数がネットワークを変化によって(つまり人為的な感染症対策をおこなうことで)どのように変化するかを明らかにすることは,感染防御政策を決めるにあたって必要な知見を与える.今後ますます社会的意義の増していく基本研究であると言えるだろう.
