Outline of Final Research Achievements

Given polyQ length variation brings human individuality according to the polyQ-diversified hypothesis, what is the biological basis? I speculated that polyQs functioned as scaffoldings of protein complexes by using binding ability of polyQ molecules. Thus, I analyzed protein-protein interaction information of proteins containing polyQs responsible for polyQ diseases and representatives of polyQ-binding proteins.
As a result, each of these proteins was suggested to involve formation of protein complexes and signal transduction in regulation of brain development.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
