| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
本年度は、本課題のメインの調査と位置付けていた、国民統合政策と国家観にかかわる世論調査を、イラク国内で実施した。
具体的には、バグダード大学の協力のもと、政府の国民統合政策を国民がどのように受容しているのか、いかなる国家観を有しているのかを問う世論調査を、独自の質問票を作成したうえで、実施した。その結果は、すでに集計を終え、2020「中東世論調査（イラク2019年）単純集計報告書」（https://cmeps-j.net/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Simple_Tally_Iraq_2019_Jp.pdf）としてホームページで公開している。
それに加え、旧体制は、国民統合のために多様なモニュメントや博物館、シンボルを活用してきたが、それらが新体制下の現在、どのように利用されているのかを、新聞や雑誌、小説などから収集した。

| Strategy for Future Research Activity |
今後は、国家を相対化しつつ、強いナショナリズムを表明する国民が、具体的にどのようなアイデンティティを持つようになったのかを明らかにするために、国家に代わって重要な役割を果たすようになったトランスナショナルなアクターやネットワークの影響を解明する。
とくに、部族の国境を超えた繋がりや、シーア派民兵集団である人民動員隊とイラン革命防衛隊や宗教界とのネットワークの実態を、主として新聞報道のデータベースを利用し、分析を進める。
