In this study, we developed a system to non-invasively measure arterial blood oxygen saturation and evaluated its performance. Firstly, we developed a system that collects light using a lens and performs non-contact pulse wave measurement by inputting the light to a highly sensitive phototransistor. Next, we developed a system to estimate blood oxygen saturation from reflected light by switching multiple illuminations. We obtained results that demonstrate the potential for creating a more cost-effective device compared to previous camera-based methods and contribute to the improvement of performance in camera-based measurements.
