| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study focuses on the last four volumes of the Man'yoshu (Volumes 17 to 20), and considers the diary literary aspects by focusing mainly on the titles and notes attached to the left side that have a "prose" character and the arrangement of poetry.I made five presentations at academic conferences and published one co-authored book and three papers.In these studies, by looking at other materials such as Man'yoshu Vol.6, which is based on the order of date, and Sarashina diary, I considered Yakamochi's diary-like expression method in the last four volumes of the Manyoshu from various angles.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
万葉集の巻17～20が日記文学的側面を持つことは従来も指摘されてきたが、本研究では、題詞・左注を含めた歌集の配列に着目することで、その日記文学的な性格をより明確にすることを目指した。特に巻20の防人歌を含む一連の部分について、一見防人と無関係な家持歌が混在していることは従来十分に説明のつかないことであったが、家持の動向を軸とする日記的な文脈を析出することにより、その文脈の上に防人歌による類聚という枠組みがゆるやかに重ねられているということが明らかになった。万葉集における散文的要素に着目し、土左日記以前における日記文学的方法の一端を解明したという点に本研究の意義があると思われる。
