This project produced a number of high-quality international academic conference panels, presentations, conference papers, and an edited book (forthcoming). It helped build a network of scholars both in Japan and overseas who continue to co-operate in research on this topic and other related projects.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
The project helped raise important questions and deepened knowledge about UK-Japan peacetime military links from a historical and contemporary perspective. Participants in the project were able to facilitate exchanges between Japanese and British scholars and policy makers working on this topic.
