Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study constructs a model with explicit employment duration, and analyzes the fluctuations in employment. The explicit employment duration results in the oscillatory response. The model shows that the variations in new hiring are high when the employment period is long. Moreover, the model with a long-term and a short-term employment indicates that increasing the short-term employment ratio amplifies the fluctuations in total employment. In addition, this study shows that the fluctuations in employment are reduced when the adjustment cost is high or the quit rate is low.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
明示的な雇用期間を仮定したフレームワークを構築することで,雇用期間の長さという雇用変動の研究における新たな側面に注目した分析を行うことが可能になった。明示的な雇用期間の仮定によって,現在広く用いられている採用費用や解雇費用を伴うモデルでは示されていない,振動を伴う雇用変動を生じる可能性が示された。また,短期雇用者の変化と雇用変動との関係を分析可能なモデルを用いて,日本の雇用政策や制度について議論を深めていくことが可能であると考える。
