Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The purpose of this study was to examine the practical relevance of organizational ethnography for management practice. The study, first, showed ways to develop tactics(socialization tactics) that managers can use to instill organizational culture and management philosophy based on qualitative research, including organizational ethnography. Second, it examined various methodologies related to organizational ethnography as an intervention approach for researchers to support practitioners in problem solving. Third, it captured the entrepreneurial process of university venture start-up and the support provided by the researcher in real time.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
本研究の学術的意義は、経営組織への介入的アプローチとしての組織エスノグラフィー、および、それに関連する質的方法論が果たす実践的意義を検討し、経営組織論という学術領域の実践的有用性の向上に貢献したことにある。 同様に、本研究の社会的意義は、経営実践と研究実践との間の乖離が指摘される昨今(e.g. リガーVSレリヴァンス問題)、実践的有用性を志向する研究方法論を提唱することで、両者の間に横たわるギャップを橋渡しすることに貢献した点にある。
